FOUR-WHEEL ABS

The antilock brake system on Cobalt is designed to help you maintain steering control by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking on most slippery surfaces.

SS Turbocharged models are equipped with standard four-wheel antilock disc brakes. Four-wheel antilock front disc/rear drum brakes are standard on 2LT and available on LS and 1LT models.

AIR BAGS

Dual frontal air bags help protect the driver and right front-seat passenger in certain collisions by supplementing the protection provided by safety belts. The front passenger seat is also equipped with the Passenger Sensing System. This feature automatically switches the right-front passenger air bag on or off based on the passenger’s weight and the type of pressure on the seat.

Head-curtain side-impact air bags are also standard in every Cobalt.

HEAD-CURTAIN SIDE-IMPACT AIR BAGS

Head-curtain side-impact air bags, mounted to the roof rail, are designed to reduce the risk of head injuries to front- and outboard rear-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. They’re standard on every Cobalt model.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC)

This standard feature helps keep you up to date on various functions of your Cobalt. Located within the speedometer, it includes the GM Oil Life Monitor and conveys trip information and calculations. you’ll also get personalized settings such as door-lock functionality, Remote Keyless Entry preferences and remote start disablement (when equipped). Readouts are available in three languages — English, Spanish and French.

ONSTAR

OnStar(3) with a one-year Safe & Sound Plan is standard when you purchase or lease Cobalt. An OnStar Advisor is always ready to help in a variety of situations, whether you’ve locked your keys in your car,(2) you have a flat tire or your air bags have deployed.

STABILITRAK ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM

Standard and only available on SS Turbocharged models, the StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System improves vehicle stability, particularly during emergency maneuvers.

TRACTION CONTROL

To enhance traction and help keep you going, this feature uses the ABS sensors to automatically detect and act to reduce wheel slip. Traction Control is standard on 2LT and SS Turbocharged models.
